The Association of Investment Marketing and Sales Executives (AIMSE) announced on April 30 that the recipient of the Third AIMSE Richard A. Lothrop Outstanding Achievement Award is industry veteran and highly respected AIMSE member and Past President Sharon L. Haugh, Chairman Schroder Investment Management North America.

The award was presented before more than 400 of Haugh’s peers and fellow AIMSE members at the AIMSE 25th Annual Investment Management Marketing & Sales Conference in Boca Raton, Florida by AIMSE President Philip A. Swan, Senior Vice President Capital Guardian Trust Company and Lou Ann Dolan, Chair of the AIMSE Awards Committee and Senior Vice President Trust Company of the West.

This prestigious award is awarded annually to an exemplary individual as recognized by his or her peers and is named in honor of Richard A. Lothrop, a former director of the Frank Russell Company and a pioneer and innovator in the investment management marketing and sales industry. Richard Lothrop, who passed away in 1984, is recognized as the founder of AIMSE.

“Sharon Haugh is an individual who exemplifies the spirit behind this award. I can think of no one who is more deserving of this honor”, said Phil Swan, “I’m proud to be a part of an organization which recognizes a leader and an outstanding individual in our industry like Sharon.”

“Dick Lothrop would have been very proud of this award. He had an enormous soft spot in his heart for AIMSE and would have loved to see a fellow salesperson like Sharon honored by this presentation,” said Lou Ann Dolan.

“I am deeply moved by receiving this award” said Haugh, “Especially since it is awarded by my peers, I shall cherish the memory of getting this honor forever.”

The award recognized Haugh for her investment management sales expertise and managerial skills. The award also recognized Haugh’s contributions to society and community involvement.

Haugh is currently Chairman of Schroder Investment Management North America. She joined the Schroder organization in 1982 as Marketing Director. In her twenty years at the firm she has served in a variety of roles including Executive Director of Schroder Capital Management International, Chairman of Schroder Capital Management Inc, Committee and the Schroder Asset Management Executive Committee. The Lothrop Award also recognized Haugh for her work in the community which includes membership on the board of the American Ballet Theater and involvement with numerous charitable organizations including Women in Need, the New York Botanical Garden, The Rockefeller University “Women of Science”, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Memorial Sloan Kettering.
