Founded in 1977, AIMSE averages more than 800 members, each with access to a wide array of AIMSE benefits.

Focus. This is one of the many qualities Olympic athletes have in common. However, the past few years have been full of distractions: pandemics, political in-fighting, wars, etc. Through it all, those who have been able to successfully navigate these distractions have been those that have tuned out the noise and focused on one thing: better outcomes for our clients.
As we pass the mid-way point of 2024, we must continue to maintain this focus and AIMSE as an organization is no different. Our mission is built on three key themes: education, access, and network development. Just as we collectively deliver better outcomes to our clients each day, so too is our focused commitment to our valued AIMSE members.
How are we focusing our efforts?
Education: For distribution, sales and marketing heads with limited bandwidth, AIMSE will be hosting more events in 2024 – 2025 directed at education and training. We believe AIMSE’s curriculum, honed by members over the past 47 years, provides an additional 3rd party perspective and “safe” space for new marketers to develop their skills for effectively engaging asset owners and consultants.
Access: For those marketers looking to get access to decision-makers in our industry, AIMSE’s regional and annual conference event committees provide our members with the opportunity to develop life-long relationships via panel-building and content development.
Network Development:, All AIMSE members benefit from networking in a collegial and respectful environment where ideas are shared in the spirit of “co-opetition.” This coming fiscal year, AIMSE endeavors to double-down on our efforts to expand membership to underserved and underrepresented segments and geographies in our industry. Expanding our membership not only promotes better perspectives, but also enhances relationships.
On behalf of the AIMSE Executive Committee, I invite all our current AIMSE members to refocus their efforts on reaching out to their non-member friends, colleagues and competitors so that we can foster friendly competition, celebrate our industry and create a solid foundation for future marketing and sales executives. Doing so creates a more virtuous cycle: better outcomes for our clients.
I look forward to seeing our current members (and those members-in-waiting) at future AIMSE events!
Sincerely,
Matt Pawlak

The AIMSE Advisory Board is a one-year position serving the President Emeritus in an advisory capacity as the President Emeritus conducts his/her responsibilities, chiefly:
1) to seek Board nominations from the Board of Directors and to Chair the Board Nominating Committee,
2) to seek Lothrop Award nominations and Chair the Selection Committee, and
3) to review the Association Management Company.
Furthermore, the Advisory Board will serve informally as a conduit for historical information about the organization and its operating and previous decision-making, as well as a wellspring of new ideas to move the organization into the next generation.
There will be no official duties or responsibilities, but it is expected that the President Emeritus will call a meeting/zoom of the Advisory Board once or twice a year, and more frequently/individually, on an ad-hoc basis.
