AIMSE Diversity & Inclusion

At AIMSE, we believe a stronger investment management industry is built on diverse perspectives, equitable opportunities, and an inclusive culture where all professionals can thrive. We are committed to expanding access to careers in financial services, particularly in client-facing disciplines such as business development, consultant relations, and client service, by helping to create pathways for individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.

The mission of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee is to advance representation, opportunity, and professional growth across the investment management community. Through strategic partnerships, scholarships, mentorship initiatives, and educational programming, we work to increase awareness of career opportunities in the industry, support emerging professionals, and help cultivate the next generation of leaders.

At AIMSE, we believe diversity of background, experience, and perspective strengthens our industry and drives better outcomes for clients. The AIMSE D&I Committee is committed to creating an inclusive community where all institutional financial services professionals, especially those in client-facing roles, have the opportunity to contribute, grow, lead, and succeed.” – Jay Wiltshire, AIMSE Board Member and Chair, Diversity & Inclusion Committee

By fostering meaningful connections and investing in talent development, we aim to reduce barriers to entry, strengthen professional networks, and contribute to a more inclusive and innovative industry. We believe that when individuals with different experiences and perspectives are empowered to succeed, our organizations, clients, and communities all benefit.

Our Partnerships

Since 2016, AIMSE’s partnership with the Robert Toigo Foundation has supported diverse MBA students pursuing careers in finance through an annual scholarship program, helping expand access, build industry connections, and develop the next generation of investment management leaders.

AIMSE collaborates with NASP to support programs such as FAST Track and DIME, which provide students and early-career professionals with exposure to financial services careers, professional development opportunities, and industry mentorship.

AIMSE’s collaboration with iDAC supports the shared goal of expanding access to business development education, mentorship, and professional networks for diverse investment professionals. This partnership helps equip emerging talent with practical skills, industry insights, and connections that can strengthen career pathways across asset management.
