Message from the AIMSE President Adam Gerentine
Dear AIMSE Members,
I am extremely honored and excited to lead this great organization over the next 12 months. However, before we look ahead, I would like to recognize some key individuals who have helped navigate AIMSE through these last three difficult years:
- Former presidents, Michael Gillis and Kurt Terrien, who led this organization throughout the pandemic and continued to provide important content for our members and value to our partners even after their time on the Board had ended.
- Retiring Board Member Gus Catsavisfor his contribution and dedication to the organization.
- Finally, I would like to highlight outgoing President Miriam Tai, for guiding the organization out of the pandemic, getting us back to in-person events, and upgrading the look and feel of the organization’s website. Her contributions will be felt for years to come, and I cannot thank her enough for her dedication and leadership.
I am excited to work alongside Tony Buscemi, Matthew Pawlak, and the rest of the Board of Directors to continue the momentum over the next 12 months.
It was great to see many of you attend the 45th Annual Conference back in April. Keith Wosneski, Peter Crivelli, and the individuals on the conference committee put together a wonderful conference that provided a great agenda with thoughtful content from industry-leading allocators and peers.
Looking ahead, we have several exciting regional events taking place throughout the US and Canada in June, July, and beyond highlighted by the AIMSE Fall Conference on September 27-28 in Chicago, IL, and our 46th Annual Conference on April 30-May 2, 2023, in Scottsdale, AZ. I hope to have an opportunity to see all of you at one of these events.
I would also like to highlight the Board of Directors This is a volunteer group of your peers who have dedicated their time to help shape AIMSE into the organization it has become today. Their commitment to networking and community has not only built a strong membership of investment professionals, allocators, and partners but also has created philanthropic opportunities for the next generation of AIMSE members. I am excited to announce that in the last year we have doubled our commitment to the Robert TOIGO Foundation and will be providing AIMSE scholarships to four students for this academic year.
I truly do believe that AIMSE is a special organization that has combined allocators, peers, competitors, and service providers into a valuable network of friends, which has helped me immensely throughout my career. This network is my first stop when I have a question, need guidance, or if I just need a laugh and a smile throughout my day. I hope that you also see the importance of the organization and enjoy the unique benefits that it has to offer.
I would be remiss if I did not mention that this organization is only as strong as the individuals who volunteer their valuable time to help AIMSE move forward. I cannot thank enough all the Board members, past and present, for their commitment to creating a community that is second to none.
I look forward to seeing each of you over the next 12 months. I welcome any thoughts, questions, or suggestions on how we can strengthen our organization.
Sincerely,
Adam Gerentine
AIMSE President
